Resilience and Self-Care

Hello everyone!

I hope all are safe and well. It seems as if 2020 continues to throw curve balls at us by the month. I thought this would be a perfect time to talk about balancing self-care and resilience. Humans can be very resilient beings. We can fight, we can defend, we can protest and there is something very beautiful in that. It has been very energizing to see people from across the world to stand up for human rights and for Black lives. Even though the context of why the protests are happening are extremely unfortunate, the people who are working toward equality are creating group cohesion and togetherness.

On the other hand, the people who are the most resilient, tend to need the most care. Fighting for human rights, in a pandemic, can be emotional, mental, and physical warfare. It is important that for the same amount of energy you are doing to protect others or protect yourself, you are putting that same amount of energy into protecting your peace.

Below, I have attached below a self-care pamphlet for Black people and Ways to support flyer for White and Non-Black POC allies. Please read through the resources provided and take care of yourselves.
